Hartford, CT— Albion Bacaj’s goal in the 89th minute secured a critical road point for Stockade FC as the club secured the top spot in the North Atlantic playoffs and the Regular Season Conference Title.
A rain soaked afternoon matchup with the top two teams in the conference created a cagey and slippery first half.
After a 40 minute storm delay during halftime, Hartford city would come out and strike first. Evan Southern found space on the left wing, cut inside and fired home the opener on his right foot after 58 minutes.
Stockade FC would begin to find chances as the second half drew on.
Ultimately, delete equalizer would come off the foot of defender Albion Bacaj. After a corner kick found it’s way to the top of the box, Bacaj would rifle a shot into traffic that found its way into the net for the leveler.
The road point secures the top spot in the conference for Stockade FC, who will host the North Atlantic Conference Title Match at Tenney Stadium on Saturday July 15th @ 7PM.
