Poughkeepsie, NY – While renovations are underway at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, Stockade FC has been in search of a home field to host NPSL matches for the 2023 season. The club is excited to announce that Tenney Stadium on the campus of Marist College in Poughkeepsie will be the club’s home field for the upcoming summer season.

Tenney Stadium is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose stadium on Marist College’s Poughkeepsie campus. It is also the home of the Marist Red Foxes, notably the 2021 MAAC Champion Marist Men’s Soccer Program. In Stockade FC’s six seasons, more than 25 Marist College student-athletes have worn the Stockade FC jersey in NPSL play.

With 2022 crowds averaging nearly 1000 fans per game, Stockade FC expects the temporary relocation to Poughkeepsie will open a new region of support for the club. “Our club represents the entire Hudson Valley,” said Stockade Head Coach Jamal Lis-Simmons. “We are excited to share our incredible game day atmosphere and on-field product with a new fan base in Poughkeepsie.”

“We are thrilled to be playing at Marist College. Stockade FC has been the summer home to many past and present Red Foxes and our relationship with Marist Men’s Soccer Head Coach Matt Viggiano and his staff is extremely important to our success. We are grateful for their hospitality and are looking forward to bringing our fan base to one of the area's premier sports venues,” said Stockade FC Technical Director Dan Hoffay.

Season Tickets for the 2023 Season at Tenney Stadium at Marist College in Poughkeepsie are on sale online (http://stockadefc.com). All home matches during the regular season and playoffs will take place in Poughkeepsie. The club expects the 2023 schedule to be finalized in early spring.

“Our community in Kingston has helped us build something amazing, and we’re excited to share it with Poughkeepsie,” said club Chairman Dennis Crowley. “We’re expecting the energy and excitement our fans bring will help us win over new fans and expand the following of the club. We’re also excited to be able to provide sponsorship opportunities to local businesses from the Poughkeepsie area.” Crowley added that businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities (jersey, sideline banners) are encouraged to reach out to sponsors@stockadefc.com.

Stockade FC plans to return to a freshly-renovated Dietz Stadium in uptown Kingston in 2024.

U-23 Defeats CT Rush, 6-0, At Dietz Stadium

Kingston, NY— Stockade Futures U-23 marked their home debut at Dietz Stadium on Saturday with an impressive 6-0 win over CT Rush.

Stockade U-23 controlled the majority of the chances throughout the match as they lead 2-0 at the midway point. Goals from Iyare Harris and Jesus Martinez gave the team an early cushion.

In the second half, Stockade would begin to exert a stronger hold on the match as they were able to push 4 more goal across. Iyare Harris would add his second to complete his brace, Javi Martinez would finish sweetly with his left foot and Kieran Weinstein and Dylan Rampage would add on the finishers.

Stockade U-23 improves to 4-0 on the season and will be back at Dietz this week, Wednesday July 6 at 6:30PM as the Westchester Flames 2 visit.

Stockade FC and Cedar Stars Draw, 1-1

Middletown, NY — A very late Cedar Stars goal erases Scott Zobre’s opener and forces a disappointing share of the points in Middletown on Friday night.

After 80 minutes of back and forth action, reserve Scott Zobre was finally able to break the deadlock as the ball fell to him in the box and he powered home the lead in the 82nd minute of play.

However, in stoppage time, Cedar Stars would equalize and force a share of the points leaving everything to play for on the final day of the season.

Stockade FC will travel to 2nd place Valeo in Newton, MA in need of a result to keep the club in contention for the remaining playoff spots.

Stockade FC Falls to Shockers, 2-1

Kingston, NY — Two unanswered goals from NY Shockers ultimately defeats Stockade FC, 2-1, at Dietz Stadium in front of 884 supports on a hot Saturday night.

In the first half, Oswald Annang gave Stockade FC the lead as he rose above the defenders to head in a sweet cross from Prince Amponsah (Wake Forest) after a quick corner from Petro Klishch (Elon). The goal marked the first for Annang in a Stockade shirt.

Through the first half, Stockade would continue to enjoy most of the possession and chances. Shockers, however, would claw their way into finding the equalizer as Adel Cekic pushed forward from his right wingback spot and purely hit a strike into the side of the net that beat Jaiden Pean (Marist).

Into the second half, Stockade would control the ball more but the play began to open up and Shockers found dangerous moments on the counter attack. In the 76th minute, Shockers sent a long ball for Adetayo Adefioye to isolate and run at the Stockade back line. He forced a huge save from Pean but the rebound was slashed in by Daryl Jeffrey.

Stockade would mount a few more chances in the dying moments including an overhead kick chance from Iyare Harris, but could not find the back of the net.

Stockade FC has two remaining matches to stamp our place in the 4-team playoff. First up, the team travels to nearby Middletown to face off with Cedar Stars on Friday, July 2 at 7PM.
