Stockade FC opened the scoring in the first half as Demarre Montoute (Marist) finished off a skillful piece of team play. Nick Fernandes (Siena) played a quick free kick wide to Noah Robinson who was able to beat his man and swing in a cross for Montoute to thrash home.

Stockade FC Shares Points in Syracuse

Syracuse, NY- Stockade FC and Syracuse FC battled to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night as Stockade traveled to Central New York for the first time.

Stockade FC was sharp out of the gate as possession of the ball and control of the game was largely dictated by the Kingston side. Andre Cutler (Marist) and Matt Koziol controlled the pace, along with the back line, but were unable to complete the final pass to open the scoring.

Finally, a well deserved opener came in the 45th minute as Albion Bacaj (Marist) sprung Noah Robinson down the right flank and, with an inch perfect pass, Cutler was able to head home the Stockade lead.

Syracuse would counter with an equalizer on one of their very few attacking threats of the evening, in the 66th minute, as a free header beat Lorenzo Nunez (West Virginia).

Stockade FC would continue to press and create half chances. Vinny Colantuono struck the bar and Luke Ferrari (Siena) had a header chance struck into the goalkeepers chest in the final 20 minutes of play.

Lorenzo Nunez made 1 save in goal for Stockade FC as the club outshot Syracuse, 9-3 (5-2 on goal).
