Poughkeepsie, NY — Any momentum Stockade FC has after last weekend’s 2-0 win over Valeo was squandered after falling to New Jersey United at home, 1-0.
During the first half, Stockade controlled the majority of the chances but we’re unable to find a breakthrough.
After 63 minutes, a ball over the top could not be properly cleared and allowed New Jersey to open the scoring, beating Lorenzo Nunez in breakaway fashion.
Stockade would push numbers forward for the final 25 minutes, but was not able to find the equalizer at home.
Stockade returns home to Poughkeepsie for the final time on Saturday June 22 as Hartford City travels to the Hudson Valley for the first time since the classic 2023 Conference Championship. Kickoff is set for 6PM.
