Poughkeepsie, NY— Stockade FC took a second half lead thanks to a goal from Jared Juleau but was not able to hold on as New York Shockers rallied for 3 goals in the final 25 minutes.
Stockade FC put together arguably the most complete performance of the season through the first 60-minutes but was not able to find the breakthrough until that point.
Finally, the chance came as Mateo Marra weighted the perfect pass over the top for Jared Juleau to run onto and loop the keeper for a 1-0 lead.
The lead did not last long as the Shockers struck back with a towering header 5 minutes later and eventually took the lead 10 minutes after.
Eventually, after Stockade was reduced to 10-men following Kojo Adjei’s second yellow card, Shockers would solidify their lead with a third.
Stockade’s slow start falls them to 0-4-1 (W-L-D) through 5 matches. Another home match is on the agenda as Valeo FC visits Poughkeepsie on Saturday June 8, 6PM for a must-win game for the Orange and Black.
